Dr. Cedric Hayden and a team of four other people were in Chuuk, Micronesia providing free dental care to over 300 people the last two weeks of January 2015. Currently there are two volunteers at the dental clinic proving preventative care until April 17th. This is an important service since there is no other preventative teeth cleaning services available for the 50,000 people in Chuuk.
We are in need of dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and clinic hosts so we can continue to meet the dental needs of the people of Micronesia. We have made some good improvements to the volunteer housing and have installed portable Air conditioning units in three of the four bedrooms. There is also several nice hotel options in Chuuk for under $100 a night.
