Do You Want to Volunteer?

YES! I (we) are interested in finding out more about being a volunteer!

parent involvement ADA siteCaring Hands Worldwide has opportunities for volunteering in Oregon and in International Locations. We provide up to $500 in free dental care to people who are below the federal poverty level and have no dental insurance. We will also work with volunteer dentists to provide a dental clinic that they design for the population the dentist would like to serve in the community of their choice. For more information contact Randy Meyer at [email protected]. We also need volunteer Dental Hygienists and Dental Assistants.

Our Chuuk Clinic is currently not open at this time…

Caring Hands Worldwide also has a dental clinic in Chuuk, Micronesia which is 16 islands with a population of over 50,000 people and no private dentist.  This beautiful location in the South Pacific is world renowned for scuba divers wanting to explore the hundreds of World War II ships and planes shot down. There are also wonderful opportunities for snorkeling on the beautiful reefs with tropical fish and giant clams. The temperature is always 70-90 degrees day and night with several white sand beaches as seen in this picture.

Volunteer

Caring Hands Worldwide has built a 4 bedroom house for volunteers to stay while in Chuuk. There are also nice American run hotels near the clinic as well that volunteers can stay. The clinic and volunteer housing are located across the street from the College of Micronesia and about 1/4 of a mile from the Airport. The cost to volunteers would be their airline ticket to Chuuk, hotel, and expenses for food. The usual cost for a ticket to Chuuk is $2,000. Dentists, Dental Hygienist, and Dental Assistants are needed, we accept both long term and short term volunteers.
